Replaces filter socks

It inserts directly into the sump's filter sock compartment, utilizing the existing fitting.
It requires no structural modifications and can be easily removed for maintenance.

Effective mechanical filtration

Water from the tank passes through a perlon wool disc (~1 cm) which retains debris and suspended particles before exiting from the bottom or the top overflow.
The wool is easily replaceable; initially, changes will be more frequent, then they will stabilize over time, approximately every 1-2 weeks.
